This project began as a design project for the FETAC Level 5 Design module.
Most of the painting was carried out as a summer project in 2011,
and the design was completed by one student during 2012 as work experience.

Since the room is used for stained glass work (as well as other crafts),
the design was intended to look like stained-glass work. The theme was the history of Clare.
Each student was responsible for designing their own section of the mural.
Running through the mural is a quotation from Elisabeth Kübler-Ross:
"People are like stained glass windows, they sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when darkness sets in, their true beauty is only seen if there is a light within."
